IP Migration Guidance in Psychz Data Center
 

Introduction

We would like to inform you of an upcoming IP migration affecting your services with us hosting in Psychz data center.
 
We need to transition your current IP address to a new range to provide the best possible service and ensure our network's continued reliability and security.
 
The old IPs may be unavailable after 08/15/2023.  They will be fully removed from our IP provider's router at 9/1/2023.
 

Necessary steps of IP migration for various applications

1. IP switching for a web site

  • Restart web service to apply the new IP to web service
  • update domain bindings in configuration file or interface
  • Update DNS records to point domain to new IP

2. IP switching for MSSQL service

  • Restart MSSQL Service
  • If the new IP is not listening on MSSQL service, update configuration on SQL Server Configuration Manager.
  • Update DNS record if your connect to database from a domain name
  • Update database connection string

3. IP switching for MySQL service

  • Change the bind-address Setting
  • Restart MySQL service
  • Update DNS record if your connect to database from a domain name
  • Update database connection string

4. IP switching for SolidCP

  • Configure IIS bindings to make SolidCP panel working with new IP
  • Replace the old IP with new IP on Configuration->IP Address->General 
  • For web hosting: Update the website bindings to use the new IP address.
  • For email services: Update the mail server configuration to listen on the new IP address.
  • For database services: Update the database server configuration to bind to the new IP address
  • For DNS service: Update Nameserver listen IP to new IP and update related DNS records to new IP
  • For FTP service: Update the FTP site binding IP to the new IP

5. IP switching for ISPConfig

  • Replace the old IP with the new IP on System->Server IP address
  • Update site binding: Click every website and change the old IP to the new IP on the website "IPV4-address" option
  • Update DNS record: Click DNS, then click every domain, replace the old IP with the new IP

6. IP switching for Smartermail

  • update the network settings to use the new IP address. 
  • Change IP Address Binding
  • Restart SmarterMail service
  • Update DNS Records:
  • Update SPF Records (optional)

7. IP switching for MailEnable

  • Update Network Settings
  • Update MailEnable Configuration: Log in to the MailEnable Administration Console
  • Change IP Address Binding
  • Restart MailEnable service
  • Update DNS Records:
  • Update SPF Records (optional)
 

Rules Migration from Old IP to New IP 

The following is the information of all the IP segments involved in the migration. if your IP is not in this, it means that your IP is not involved in this project.

You can refer to the table below to get your new IP and try to connect your service with the new IP. If there is any problem, please contact us at support@databasemart.com.
 
Tips: You can click 'Ctrl + F' in this page and input the first 3 digits of your old IP to quickly locate the position of your old IP segment and extrapolate your new IP.
