How to Upgrade WordPress

1 Take a backup of your WordPress site before upgrade

Please take a backup of your website files and database before doing upgrade.

2 Down the upgrade files

Download the WordPress upgrade package from http://wordpress.org/download/

3 Upload the files.

3.1 Delete the “wp-admin”&“wp-includes” folders

You can delete the folders from FTP client if you are not able to access the web files via RDP.

3.2 Replace the old files

Copy and paste the files of the downloaded files to where your Wordpress files are except “wp-content” folder and replace the files in the destination.

4 Open your WordPress site and upgrade.

4. 1 Update WordPress Database

4.2 Click “Continue” to finish the upgrade.

5 Done
