How to Install WordPress by ISPConfig

1. Introduction

WordPress is a free and open-source content management system (CMS) based on PHP and MySQL.

2. Login to ISPConfig control panel

 

3. Create a website through ISPConfig and enable PHP

 

4. Create a MySQL database and a database user

 

 5. Download  the WordPress installation file from http://wordpress.org/download/ and unzip it

 
 
 
 

6. Create a FTP account in ISPconfig for the WordPress website

 

7. Connect the FTP account  through FileZilla client and delete the index.html file in the WordPress website's folder

 
 

8. Upload the WordPress installation files to the website's directory

 

9. Add DNS "A" records to point the website to the web server and open the website in the browser to start the installation

 

10. Fill in the MySQL database name, username, password and MySQL host server

11. Click "Run the installation"

12. Enter the site title, the login username ,password and  email

13. Complete and installation and click "Log in" to check the WordPress website
