Database Mart provides solid-state drive for drive C. They are better than the traditional disks in rebooting speed, performance and transfer speed. Additionally, we also provide special plans with SATA disk for extra storage or backup. You can request us to help upgrade the SSD and SATA disk at any time when necessary.

4. Choice of OS

Database Mart provides most editions of Windows operating systems, and Linux operating systems to both VPS and dedicated server as follows. Linux is an open-source operating system. The Windows VPS hosting can be preferred if you are developing in .NET or if you have applications that are designed for the Windows platform. If you need other operating system, please contact us and send us the OS file.

Windows:

  • Windows Server 2019 Standard Edition x64,
  • Windows Server 2016 Standard Edition x64
  • Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard Edition x64
  • Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard Edition x64. We recommend that you to order it with our Cisco firewall since Windows Server 2008 R2 is End of Life (EOL) now.

Note If you need Windows desktop OS installed, please provide ISO image and license key in advance. But it applicable for basic or higher level of VPS only.

Linux:

We provide the following Linux operating system:
  • CentOS 6.x-7.x 64-bit
  • Ubuntu Server 16.x-18.x 64-bit
  • Debian 7.x-9.x 64-bit
  • OpenSUSE leap 42

Note If you need other operating systems, please provide ISO image. But only basic or a higher level of VPS support importing a client's ISO file.

5. Backup

If you need to frequently backup in Windows, we suggest you order a VPS together with Remote Data Center Backup (Twice per week, every Wednesday and Saturday).
We use Backup for Workgroups to back up all your SSD (C: partition) system files to our remote data center backup servers where you  can then restore and  backup files in your server whenever needed .
If you are still unable to decide on how to choose a plan, please contact us any time via a ticket or livechat.
